91 POINTS - “This light-bodied wine is peppery, light and crisp. From a steep mountain vineyard and made in small quantities, it shows elegant red fruit and subtle oak on the palate. —V.B.” Wine Enthusiast February 2022
High in the hills on the western flank of Dry Creek Valley sits a vineyard that holds a piece of my history, and my heart.
I fell in love with this mountainside Cabernet Franc over a decade ago, as I began my journey into the world of wine. The grapes were not destined for a varietal bottling--in all years prior it had been blended into Cabernet Sauvignon--but in 2012 I dug my heels in and demanded it stand alone. It quickly became the star of the lineup.
Seven years later, long after I had left the vineyard, a completely unexpected chain of events brought me back in touch with my beloved mountainside Cabernet Franc. And here it is now, for you.
