Putting my money where my heart is.

I am committed to donating at least 5% of my annual sales, whether or not I make a profit. I hope to increase my annual donations by selling more wine (duh) and by increasing my donation percentage, as soon as it becomes financially feasible.

Diversity in the wine industry

I believe that every discipline benefits from a diversity of voices. The Roots Fund was created to empower communities of color in the wine industry by providing resources and financial support through education scholarships, wine education, mentorship and job placement.

Building equity in community

Most of winery owners and patrons are wealthy and white. Most winery and vineyard workers are not. Corazon Healdsburg seeks to elevate the voices and dignity of those working behind the scenes in Sonoma County’s wine and hospitality industry. Their mission is to build a compassionate and just community by empowering and dignifying individuals and families, advocating against injustices, and uniting people to celebrate diversity.

The real Sauveteurs

The name of my first wine, Sauveteur, means “rescuer” in French, so it was only fitting to send my 2020 donation to the REAL Sauveteurs: the millions of women and men who provide emergency services in the United States. I chose the First Responders Children’s Fund, a national non-profit that provides assistance to children who have lost a parent in the line of duty. FRCF provides a range of important services including scholarships, counseling and college tuition.
